Topic: 2 sites for you to critique

Hello World!

The first site is for a co-worker. I did this as a favor and kept it simple. It lacks content, but what do you think about the layout and color scheme?

The second site is my personal one. I had a bland site but re designed it. I kind of was going for that apple iPod/iPhone look. Let me know what you think:

Additional notes, both should validate to XHTML Strict and also CSS table less layout standards.

First site looks ok.  I think the typewriter might look better at the bottom right.  Colors are ok, nothing too much going on.

Second site needs more work. The banner repeats and shouldn't, just doesn't look right. I say set a max-width.  With the amount of content on my resolution the page looks too wide.  I say only use a wide fluid site with multiple columns.

First one looks pretty simple and clean, Easy to use.

And by the way on your second one the banner is repeating twice well on my screen it is.

Well, The first one seems choppy to be completely honest.
The text doesn't really fit, if you know what I mean.

Second one seems "okay", The repeating banner, you have to look twice to see that it is a paper effect, otherwise good.

Fixed the second site's banner repeat problem. I set a max width of 1000 for browsers set to 1024 width.
