Post this request in freelancing section. And please, use punctuation, proper English, and check the spelling before posting.

You know, people tend to take one more seriously if they bother to write properly. At least that's how I do.

Punctuation and grammar take very little extra time.
Why doesn't anyone ever say hi, hey, or whad up world?

I would like to add a request to the list: How about an In-Depth Mod. Allowing Admins and Moderators to tag posts that have been throughly explianed for a particular topic. Would be a good reference for users of all levels and they could be catagorized.
A good example would be this: http://www.phpfreaks.com/forums/index.php/topic,241381.msg1137283.html#msg1137283
Or this: http://www.phpfreaks.com/forums/index.php/topic,241805.msg1130444.html#msg1130444

Please be forewarned; rather than giving you exactly what you want I prefer to teach you how to get what you want. Knowledge is power, so take the time to learn PHP and you will be able to wield it's power.
If I just gave you the code to solve your problem then you will be back again tomorrow asking for more of the same code. So please take the time to learn. Thanks.

We might as well sticky every possible category of a question up.  In which case...nobody ever reads the stickies anyway...well, the Irregulars don't usually.  So creating a tag system wouldn't do much good.

Besides this is a tutorial wishlist...not a mod wishlist.  Although all suggestions are welcome and appreciated.

The intent is not to sticky them though, rather to make them a point of reference. But hey it is your forum, do as you wish. I know that insightful post such as the ones I choose have been helpfull in giving me a real udnerstanding.

I understand you fine.  There are hundreds if not thousands of threads about the same exact topic which are very informational.  The most that has been done..like what you've said....it the creation of the FAQ Code Repository Forum.

Nevertheless, it is still a forum and it comes down to the fact that joe schmoe only wants to register a username here...ask a question...get an answer...and leave, never to return.

But maybe my idea could be used to build up the repository a little bit, it is such a small listing of code, and covers very narrow areas. More could afford to be added, do you not agree?
Yes a majority of the users are one offs, but having this code in place at least gives them an option to research and possibly match it against a topic, and for those users that are repeaters like myself, we now have a place in which we can go and find the topic of intrest and be educated.

If you feel that a topic is worthy enough to go into the repository then....post a topic about it here in the suggestions board....that's what it is for.

If it gets enough nods, then most likely it will be moved there.  It probably won't even need more than one or two nods if it is a good topic.  Collaboration is the key here.

and if your request doesn't get any nods then don't be heartbroken....it's just like website critique.

Who has the time to sift through these threads to read through and rate them?  Especially the In-Depth ones, they are most likely going to be pretty long.

Like zanus said, that's what the stickies and tutorials are for.  There are always more tutorials being written, so if you have something in mind please, don't be shy.

Fine.

Don't get me wrong, I think it's a good idea, just not feasible.   :-\
