Topic: Help with a COOL drop down menu

Hi I have a Picturesque background and thought it would be neat if I could extend the image by using an image in a drop down. I know this sounds confusing but if you look at http://www.reallifemalawi.com/Nthorowa2.php
You will see a simple drop down menu. What I want to do is add a menu to the thin stip image above Mozart & Brahms and when the mouse moves over the menu a drop down apears but instead of the grey area I would like the background image to extend downwards.

Is this possible.
