Hey guys,
Just finished working on my new project: it's called WebPool, which is basically a place where visitors can find new, interesting links and webmasters can promote their websites.

Please could you give me some critique on design, coding etc... I'd also like to know if you think it is a good concept or not.
Here is the link: [a href=\"http://www.web-pool.net\" target=\"_blank\"]http://www.web-pool.net[/a].

All comments are much appreciated,
GLD.

Sorry, but that front page navigation system-thingy just isn't very good. At all. It's the kind of thing that makes people give up on a website at first glance.
Here's an article you might want to take a look at: [a href=\"http://www.webpagesthatsuck.com/mysterymeatnavigation.html\" target=\"_blank\"]http://www.webpagesthatsuck.com/mysterymeatnavigation.html[/a]

Interesting theory.... but something tells me it's not really going to take off.  I don't want to click on a random image when I don't know where it's going to take me.  What if someone submits a NSFW site and I click on it at work?  BAD IDEA.

The site design itself is ok... but the concept fails me.

Each to his own I guess.
All of the links are manually verified before they get into the pool, so no NSFW links would get through.

Interesting response, considering the fact that your navigation system there is hideously hard to use. Every time that I try to click a bubble, the bubble just jumps away. The idea behind the site might work, I suppose, but that doesn't fix the fact that your way of accessing it just doesn't.
