dimik2 Posted August 2, 2010 Share Posted August 2, 2010 Hi I facing with a task where I have to store icons (standard ms windows .icos) in a database then displaying them. By now I did some research and all current browsers ie,firefox,chrome are able to display icons natively without conversion. I also found a class to convert them to png http://www.phpclasses.org/package/2369-PHP-Extract-graphics-from-ico-files-into-PNG-images.html What would you suggest how to implement this. The drawback directly displaying icons is that an icon file is a container file which can contain icons with different resolutions so the browser will only show one.
