project

Hi,

I'm looking for some ideas on what to make for my final year degree project, I know there are lots of topics out there like this but I just cant decide,

can you thing of something PHP orientated that I could make,

so far the best  idea I have come up with is some sort of search engine, front end done with PHP (possible RAILS but I know more about PHP and could just get on with it ) and the page harvesters/server done with Java  or maybe  C++, the communication between the PHP and the server could be done with XML-RPC or maybe soap.

so does anyone have any ideas on this, is it to easy, to hard or can you think of something better?

Search Engine is good, you can actually make the back end of it with PHP also, however it would probably require a bit more work.

done 2x years of BSc (Hons) Computing,

have learned

Databases,

PHP + (small amount of ASP),

Java,

XML-RPC,

Computer Systems,

Networking,

HCI,

Microprocessors (PIC16f84A + Arduino)

(plus some business stuff but thats way to booring)
