Hello there,

Thank you for taking the time to visit my thread. I've been brainstorming for the past few days trying to establish the best method of a content management system. I'm curious since you are all highly advanced PHP coders what you think the best method of content management is I would like it to be presented in the URL in the following method:

file.php?v=example

So please share your ideas remember there is never a stupid suggestion I want to hear all your possibilities please!

In a CMS it wouldn't be all that important as you won't want your pages to be easily found by search engines.

Just do what ever is easiest.

I always use htaccess to make my URLs go like this:

http://localhost/example

This automatically gets redirected to index.php through htaccess, and is read by PHP to determine what page the person is requesting. In this case example.

I always use .htaccess

Yup, .htaccess is a method used in making your website more secure, and SEO friendly. Having parameters visible in the URL shows what tech your using, and this has disadvantages.

If the site isn't huge, you can design a bespoke system in a week, but if you don't want to reinvent the wheel, there are some good ones out there, personally, I like to know what each line of code does, so every project I do is bespoke.
