I simply want to know if it is a bad practice to create a script that recurses through your root directory and zips up everything into one large zip file... More often just a shell command, like $ tar -cvzf backup_`date '+%Y-%m-%d'`.tgz /path/to/web/root Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
