Curl open url

I have a url like http://www.northplanet.co.uk/blog.php?empty_cache= and i want to use curl to run the url, when the url is accessed in the browser it clears the cache how can i make php access and run the url in the background?

if i got you right you can use this

 

$curl = curl_init();

    curl_setopt ($curl, CURLOPT_URL, "$URL");
    $ANSWER=curl_exec ($curl);
    curl_close ($curl);

where $url is the link you want .

please notice the curl is an extension you have to add . It has many available options to use .
